So why did I decide to write this post about myself aka Dee Kumar?
I have noticed lately that almost everyday people are finding my site by searching for my name, Dee Kumar. So, I decided to do a Google search for the very same. Try it, and you will find that the love for my name is shared by a large number of individuals!
This creates a little problem for me, as people may mistake me for any of the other Dee Kumar’s there are out there. So, I have two choices, either change my name to something more unique (tempting) or as an Internet Marketer create some keyword rich articles with the name ‘Dee Kumar’ and see if I can easily out rank the others.
The number one result for the term ‘Dee Kumar’ is a Linkedin page which may be difficult to outrank, however there are ways to negate the forementioned page’s influence. By having a number of my posts ranked on the first page of my Google name search, I have a much higher chance as being seen as the relavent Dee Kumar to this blog.
Wait, I hear you say, could these searches not be other Dee Kumar’s simple searching their Google profiles? Yes, of course that could be true and possibly is for some cases, however I have been posting on some forums recently about the need to have a mentor, and in each I have insisted they should try to find out more about their potential mentors before committing to them (including Google ing for their content) – and the traffic to my site from the keywords ‘Dee Kumar’ follows very closely to the forum posts I submit.
So, if you wish one day to be a recognised Internet name, why not start now by writing a post or two mentioning your own name and start the branding process…
