In this article I will prove it is easy to make your first dollar online.

I am often asked how I made my first dollar online. It’s an interesting question but it’s story starts over 12 years ago. I searched through the Internet as a teenager hoping to make my millions. I found an FFA site (these were basically sites where you paid a subscription and received about 200 leads a day in return – these leads came from people who posted their links on the site) and signed up.

I had an amazing up-line sponsor who sent out weekly motivating newsletters that kept me thinking I could crack it. After spending $300 odd dollars on advertising I made my first commission of about $13 ! Yep, a massive loss but my first monthly recurring commission! 6 months later, with the help of my up-line sponsor (who was now my new mentor) I was making around $300 a month and not investing much anymore.

It was an exciting period, but as with anything that you start to neglect, it start to decay. My income dwindled and I didn’t care as I was having fun at university. Months later I brought my own lotto site and the fun began again, but that is a story you can read on my ‘about’ page.

The second things I get asked, is if it was easier then than now. This question makes me laugh every time! There were way less people on the Internet 12 years ago and on very basic and slow websites. What we did was very simple and we had to do a lot more convincing for people to believe they could spend online without succumbing to fraud.

Now, it seems almost everyone is online, and countries such as Finland have even made Internet access a basic human right. The opportunities are endless and people are using the Internet in different ways, making infinite ways to make money online. I said I would prove it’s easy to make money, and here is the proof.

A few days ago, I set up an account on the webste Fiverr.

It’s a website where it is free to list gigs you are willing to offer for $5. I made some gigs up (which by the way are free to list) and you will see if you scroll down to my 10 comments gig, that I have completed a sale.

Note – I would not do this as a living as my place a much higher dollar value on my time, but I did it to prove it can be done, and that it is much easier now then when I started as the Internet has become way more creative.

So, people, there is no excuse for you all not to start making money today. Even if it is only in $5 steps.
