3 Tasks of the day
For those who have not read my Prioritising post, you may want to read that first by clicking here.
Aiming to complete just 3 tasks each day will ensure that my work output is measurable and that I am focused.
My 3 tasks for today:
1) Find out why within one week of starting this blog, I received 50 visitors yesterday
- Find a WordPress plug-in which will tell me where my visitors are coming from
2) Add a newsletter subscription box to this blog
- Set up a mailing list with my preferred supplier
- Talk to people I know who have installed one
- Search the Internet for WordPress modules which may do the job
3) Submit good comments on 10 blogs that relate to one of the posts I have already written.
- Pick a post I particularly like
- Find 10 blogs with similar themes, read a post and submit a useful comment
That’s it. That’s my must do for the day. Whatever else I do is a bonus!

A great piece of software for this (I have no affiliate – just use and love it) is AXS (google for it) – AXS is a perl script and can easily be embedded in your worpdress theme so you can track not only where visitors come from and keywords they used, but also their time and path through your site.
Just a quick update, I am willing to bet that most of your traffic came from the warrior forum where you are participating. That is how I found you.
Also, If you are using a cpanel host, you can view the last 300 visitors from your cpanel admin area.
HI Steve, I managed to install a plugin which tells me a little more about the traffic and only half of today’s 200+ visitors are from The Warrior Forum (although that is also impressive as I have only answered a few posts)
The rest is interesting, but I will announce it in the coming week, to those on my mailing list only. You are already on it, so you will know…
