How to impress a potential mentor

I don’t know how many of you have been following my posts on the Warrior Forum, but I found being active there leads a lot of people to my blog. (My mailing list followers will get a special newsletter later today showing my numbers and tactics used). Well I recently challenged a guy on the forum who claimed he would ‘personally one on one coach’ 100 people to success in six months. Not only would he coach but he would pick their niches for them. This post will discuss how the challenge came about, and some of the methods people used to convince me to coach them. Read the rest of this entry »

Having talked to a few people this week, it seems a common problem. But, does it have to be that way?

NO, not at all. Here I outline the big mistake that people make when setting goals which can prevent you from keeping focus upon the important tasks. Read the rest of this entry »

2nd Weekend Status Update, Zero to 400 visitors a day.

So I have officially been on this Venture to the Top for two weeks. This week saw some fast acceleration, but I didn’t really understand why, so I had to take a step back for a few days and put things in place to ensure I capitalised on the traffic.

In my first week, the only visitors I had were people I had convinced to pay the blog a visit (new contacts made this year as I cannot use last years contacts). So, I was 100% surprised when I noticed comments left by people I had not invited.

2 Things you should do within 15 days of a New blog

3 Things you should do within 30 days of a New blog.

I’m a firm believer of just getting started. So, I always tell my students, do not worry about a beautiful design, having the whole years articles planned etc, JUST GET STARTED. Why because that is where 90% of people fail, so firstly do what 10% of successful people do and just make sure everything is just good enough to get started.

However, there comes a time where you need to start working on improving things. The aim initially is just to get started, but the mindset should be to continually improve things until they are the best. So, after seeing a number of students follow my lead in starting a new blog, I though I should now share 7 tips on where to focus improvements within 15 days of setting up a new blog.

You do not need to know so much straight away!

You do not need to know so much straight away!

For some reason new business owners spend a great deal of time on planning activities. Yes, this is of course good, it’s never a good idea to enter into any business venture without doing your research first. However, the point I am about to make is that you only need to know enough to get started, then you should perfect things and expand as you go along. Why? Because otherwise you get caught in a trap of  ‘Information Overload’ which ends up slowing you down.

The Importance of – “Just being good enough”

Here is a real life example of the benefits of ‘Just Being Good Enough’.

Just Being Good Enough is a concept I inferred from my favourite writer Malcolm Gladwell. In his book ‘Outliers’ he makes the case, that for luck to have it’s effect on you, you must take some action. However, that action does not have to be perfect, it only ever has to be ‘Good Enough’.

Practical Tips – How to stay focused on work

The ever increasing number of distractions, often makes the art of focusing seem like an impossible task. But, rest assured it is possible to learn to focus, and learning exactly how to focus can often be the ‘tipping point’ to great success.

This mini series will step by step approach the art of focusing and will also provide some of my highly guarded tools which have helped me become the ‘King of Productivity’.

The thinking exercise (15 to 20 minutes thinking and writing down required)

Step 1

The very first thing you need to do is to try and understand yourself. Think back to times where you were super productive/focused and times where you were not. Take one page to write down times when you were prodcutive and one page for when you wer not, and describe what was the environment like:

  • Was it noisy?
  • Was it when you were alone?
  • Was your desk clean?
  • Was it at certain times of the day?
  • Was it a certain type of work that made you productive/unproductive?
  • Were you under a tight deadline?
  • and so on… Read the rest of this entry »

How to price a product

How to Price a Product.

This is a common question faced by almost all Internet Marketers and it’s the one question I’m asked the most about.

Here I provide my reference list for pricing a product correctly:

Pricing is not an exact science. What I provide here is a 90% guide to finding the correct price of your product, but there is always a 10% uncertainty that you are slightly overpriced in achieving optimum sales, or underpricing yourself out of maximum profit potential. However if you follow this guide you should be very close to a good price point.
